DAIRY-FREE ICE CREAM

Dairy-free ice cream recipe

September is here – wahoo! Not only is Fall my favorite season but it’s also my birthday month! This year I am turning the big 3-0, so I feel like that calls for a month long celebration.

Since I am literally OBSESSED with dessert – every Wednesday of this month I am going to be sharing some of my favorite dessert recipes… starting with this super easy and delicious dairy-free frozen banana ice cream. I blogged about this a LONG time ago so I figured I would re-make this treat and share it again!

Seriously, this has to be one of the easiest recipes in the world. I promise, even if you aren’t that good in the kitchen you will NOT mess this up.

Ingredients
2 Bananas
Dash of almond/skim milk OR water (if you prefer non-dairy)
Optional: any add ins – cinnamon, chocolate chips, peanut butter, liquid stevia (to make it sweeter), coconut, vanilla extract

Step 1: Chop up bananas and place them in the freezer overnight.

Step 2: Take Banana out of freezer and let dethaw for about 5-10 minutes (optional if you don’t have a great blender or food processor).

Step 3: Throw banana into blender – add a dash of almond milk and any additional ingredients

Step 4: Blend until banana is consistency of ice cream – should be smooth (not runny and not super icy)

See – how simple is that!? Please NOTE – this ice cream is not a low calorie ice cream. If you eat the whole batch – 2 bananas and a tablespoon of peanut butter – you will rack up the calories. The recipe IS good for people looking for a natural alternative or for people who cannot consume dairy!

I also posted a video below for your enjoyment (the song totally makes it). Share, subscribe, and eat!
