Turkey Chili

Hearty Turkey Chili

Today I am sharing my very favorite turkey chili recipe!

I am such a sucker for a good hearty, healthy, and quick meal. Chili checks all those boxes for me! I stumbled upon this turkey chili recipe by Jamie Eason a few years back and it’s been part of my meal prep rotation ever since. I obviously love the taste but I also love how versatile the base ingredients of this recipe can be transformed into your very own take on chili.

I’ll get into how you can change up this recipe in a second, but first I want to talk about Jamie Eason (check out her Instagram). I discovered her during my fitness bodybuilding days when I was scouring the internet to eat anything but chicken and brown rice. She is such a gorgeous human and a leader in the fitness and nutrition industry. I also love that she is a mama to two little boys and fits working out into her busy schedule. Anyway – if you’re looking for healthy and hearty meals to add to your nutrition routine definitely check out some of her recipes here.

Back to the recipe – this chili kind of tastes like Wendy’s chili (if you’ve ever had that). It has a little bit of tanginess to it from the mustard and vinegar and it tastes awesome on top of turkey hot dogs, too! Some of the ways that I like to change up this recipe is to add in a grass fed lean beef, throw in some green and red peppers and corn – I’ve even made it with sweet potatoes which is awesome! The recipe reheats really well, too, so it makes for an awesome meal prep food. Not a fan of beans? Try this beanless version.

Best part – it only takes about 15-20 minutes to cook so it’s a perfect dish to make during the week or to scoop into bowls on a Sunday night (my husband is obsessed, too)! Give it a try and let me know what you think.
