Saying Goodbye to 2014

New Years Day

2015 – you have a lot to live up to. You see – me and 2014 had a good thing going. I hate to dwell on the past, but 2014 helped to shake the dust off of me, it put the pep back in my step and showed me all the possibilities that life has to offer. It made me stronger, more confident, and it allowed me to take chances while helping OTHERS. 2015 – do you mind if I reflect on the past year?

You see – I’ve had this wild and crazy hair my whole life and last year, I chopped it all off. Yep – I went for it. I even had a few color changes in between….

Honestly, that was the least brave thing I did all year. In 2014, I met the toughest boss I’ve ever had. She’s relentless when I’m tired, she pushes me past my comfort zone, and she won’t take no for an answer. The best part? I get to challenge her back, build her up, and look at her in the mirror every day. Since taking control of my career this year, I’ve had my hands in producing, writing, blogging, and even started my own fitness business where I am blessed everyday by helping others.

Fitness carried over into my personal life too as I trained harder than ever…

And with the guidance of my team and coach I competed in two local bikini shows and even qualified for a national competition!!!

I also challenged my mind too. I took writing classes, guitar lessons, learned photography, competed in a sprint triathlon – I even agreed to a modeling gig (okay, okay… it wasn’t paid but taking pictures in front of a plane was definitely a perk).

In 2014 – My travels took me coast to coast. I made one with the jet stream and hit the Caribbean, Ohio, Boston, Vegas, San Diego and Miami…

I stepped on my first national stage…

But the best part? I got to experience it all with this guy. All of the highs… even some of the hard days (yes they are buried in there too) – I’ve been lucky enough to have a rock by my side.

So you see 2015, you have a lot to live up to but I’m ready to live in your experiences, expand in your moments and to see what you have in store.
